AID TO CHILDREN AND PREAK SDEY SCHOOL IN PURSAT - CAMBODIA

Today, a few words from us.
Someone once said:
„Kiedy jesteś wdzięczny, znika strach a pojawia się obfitość”.
We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts for your contribution, your heart, your auction donations and everything else you offer.
It is thanks to you that this "abundance" appears, which will support the children for whom we are all fighting so hard, in the auctions but also in direct contributions.
Thanks to you, the fear that sometimes arises as to whether we will be able to raise enough money to allow the children to have decent learning conditions disappears.
Dlatego specjalnie dla Was, szykujemy dowód naszej wdzięczności w postaci: „Serca Dla Kambodży”.
Exceptional Hearts, exceptional thanks to exceptional people.
It will be ready soon.

REMOVAL FROM MEMBERSHIP OF THE ASSOCIATION OF VETERANS OF PEACEKEEPING MISSIONS
UN IN CAMBODIA 1992-1993

Colleagues, on 30.04.2020 at the meeting of the Board of Directors No. 5 / 2020, Decision No. 9 / 2020 was taken on removal from the list of Members of the Association of Veterans of the United Nations Peace Mission in Cambodia 1992 - 1993:
Michal OWERCZUK and Alex Pavel GŁUCH
The basis for Decision No.9 / 2020 was the failure to comply with statutory obligations, namely;
Chapter 3, paragraph 9, point 3 (removal from the list of members by the Management Board due to unjustified default in payment of membership fee for more than 6 months)
As a reminder, Michal J. Owerczuk and Alex Pavel Głuch at the Board meeting on 29.10.2018 by Decision No. 15 / 2018 were admitted to the Association and by Decision No. 16 / 2020 exempted from membership fees because they assured and promised that they would act for the benefit of the Association and the Veteran Members. By 7 November 2019 they had done nothing and therefore on 07.11.2019 the Board of Directors took Decision No. 14 / 2019 to revoke Decision No. 16 / 2018 and obliged them to pay their dues. Those concerned were notified by email.
The relevant documents are available at the Association's headquarters and can be consulted by any Member. For Members who will be attending the next meetings, they will be made available.
Michal OWERCZUK and Aleks Paweł GŁUCH thank you for your cooperation and wish you success in your personal and professional life.

CAMBODIA PURSAT PROVINCE PREK SDEY SCHOOL
Cambodia has a population of more than 16 million. Half of them are under the age of 20. This is linked to the bloody Pol Pot regime that reigned in Cambodia in the 1970s. During his rule, ¼ of the country's population was slaughtered. Cambodia is a country that is rising from the ruins. A country that knows that the basis of all development is education.
As Veterans of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Cambodia from 1992 to 1993, while we were there we helped as much as we could and now after so many years we also want to help and give children a better start in adulthood and a pass to a better life for the children of Cambodia.
The day at a Cambodian school starts early in the morning. In the school courtyard, pupils, teachers and management gather to take part in an assembly. Children arrive at school on foot or on bicycles, often from very far away. But no one is late, no one whines about having to stand at attention. All the children have a smile on their face. They are looking forward to learning new things and having a nice but busy time. For many pupils, school is a substitute for a better world - neat uniforms, brick walls, a break from work. School is not just a place where they can learn to read and write. It is also a space where children learn many other valuable skills. They learn mutual responsibility, caring, order. They help each other. They are one big family in which everyone has a role. During lessons, the children teach each other various practical activities. They give lectures and instructions on how to brush their teeth properly, for example, and as part of their physical activities, they learn traditional Khmer dances. The desire and need to learn is great in these children, so they meet after school and organise extra activities for themselves. They teach each other how to write, they read books together. It is fantastic that in this day and age - smartphones, television, the internet - there are still communities that enjoy real, tangible being together.
There is a PREK SDAY school in the PURSAT Province.
At this school it is:
- 187 students,
- 10 teachers,
- 6 classes.
Ages of children from 3 to 14 years.
Lack of Volunteers
There is still a lot of work to be done at the school ( as you can see from the photos). Many school things are missing (in the classrooms) and sanitary facilities (toilets , sinks, showers), playing fields, playground and school supplies, books for pupils.
The number of students is still growing, so if you would like to support and contribute in some way with us Veterans and Members of the Association of Veterans of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Cambodia 1992 - 1993, you are most welcome and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Eager individuals, schools and institutions can make donations to the Association's account necessarily with the title:

Children can be grateful for your Good Heart - because it will enable them to learn in decent conditions. And they really want to learn - they just can't always and don't have the right conditions for it.
